My Daily Routine: I Woke Up Like Dis

I am a morning person. If you know me, you know this. People don’t understand  how this is possible. Why would anyone wake up early to start their day, when sleep is such a glorious thing? I truly believe that if you wake up each and every morning with purpose and a productive head start, you will be successful in whatever you do. I have a ton of meetings to attend every day and don’t have much time to respond to e-mails or do any creative brainstorming, so that is what my mornings are for. It is when I blog and the time that I feel most at peace and most productive. Call me crazy or a workaholic, but I love the feeling of hammering through 80 e-mails in an hour and starting my day feeling prepared as opposed to worrying about the day and the work ahead. I defeat my stresses in the morning, so the rest of the day is putting the pieces together.

Anyway, I figured I’d share my morning routine with you all:

MY MORNING SCHEDULE

4:45 AM: Wake Up + Check Instagram to see what I missed from last night

5:00 AM: Head to the Gym (the gym session is light – 45 minutes to wake me up. A combination of 15 minute abs, 5 minutes resistance, 15 minutes of cardio, 10 minutes of weights)

6:00 AM: Eat breakfast (I eat the same thing every morning – egg whites, turkey bacon, toast with avocado + pepper and half a banana).

6:45 AM: Head to Starbucks for a Venti Iced Vanilla Coffee (hey, I deserve it!)

7:45 AM: Get Into Work And Start My Day
