Took my mom out (I’m a mama’s boy) to Malibu Cafe this morning. We’re both morning people so we scored a reservation at 10:30 am. To be honest, I didn’t know what to expect as I didn’t do much research – well, what a surprise I was in for!
This cute little restaurant is on a ranch owned by a local Malibu family. The restaurant is an open-ranch with large life-size chest sets, a lake with readily available paddle boats, a women’s boutique, tons of photo ops w/ prominent hashtags, rustic-country influenced bars with fireplaces and dining areas complimented with chandeliers. It was so cute and rustic, yet fun. Malibu Cafe is a little gem hidden between the canyons of Malibu.
For brunch, I had the Avocado Toast with a poached egg, which was good – but small. My mom had a turkey sandwich with bacon jam and french fries which was absolutely divine. I also here the Banana Bread French Toast is to die for.
Such an amazing place, you have to go check it out next time you are in Malibu: http://www.themalibucafe.com/
