It’s funny, everyone thinks my favorite social media platform is Instagram – and it is definitely one of my favorites, but even before I post on Instagram, I have already posted at least twenty something pins on Pinterest. One of my favorite social media sites, Pinterest, allows you to not only get inspired in a really cool way, but it also allows organization (my favorite!). If you aren’t follow me, check out my boards and get inspired: www.pinterest.com/followmario.
I talked to a good friend of mine today (@thismintymoment) and we were talking about the superficial nature of Instagram, how people don’t like to admit they are inspired by others, how we strive to have the best filters, the best poses, the best end result. Yet, in all actuality, the reason we follow the people we follow is because we want to be just like them. We want to go the places, they go, do the things that they do, live where they live. That is the essence of inspiration. I draw a lot of my inspiration from the people I follow, but also from the cool content that is generated on Pinterest and curators around the world.
That’s the most beautiful part. Pinterest is a place of (p)inspiration.
