99.9% of people are going to hate me for what I am about to say, but I can’t do too much cardio because it makes me too skinny. It’s true! A trainer told me with my metabolism and body type, I should restrict myself to only 15 – 20 minutes of cardio, which is rough, because cardio is for sure my favorite.
Therefore, if I am not in toning mode, I make sure the cardio that I do is fun and something I can go hard at, so I get a good sweat. A good mix, if you don’t have a gym nearby, is a combo of 5 minute jumprope, 10 minute sprints and 5 minutes stability pushups. Try it out, you’ll have a good sweat in under 20 minutes.
