Welcome to Miami

August 26, 2015

I’ve been a bit off the radar lately, as I was on vacation this last week in none other than the beautiful city of Miami, Florida. If you haven’t been, you HAVE to go! I expected Miami to be a bit like the Jersey Shore but I couldn’t have been more wrong. Miami was so exquisite and beautiful, made me definitely reconsider things. I could see myself retiring there one day!

I went with my boyfriend and we stayed at the One Hotel in South Beach. The hotel is owned by the owner of the W Hotel and offers a hotel space and residences. The entire hotel is eco-friendly/conscious with details from head to toe with plants, reclaimed wood and glass. We stayed in one of their suites that had a waterfall shower, amazing beach front view and tons of space. However, a majority of the time we were at the pool or the rooftop pool.

Aside from the glorious hotel, one of the things we indulged in was food and shopping. We ate from everywhere to Dutch (breakfast at the W Hotel) to Zak’s Bakery (Hipster Gluten Free Bakery in Wynwood) to Makato (amazing sushi in Bal Harbour). We also frequented the Soho House pool and beach which was absolutely stunning. The water on the beach was so warm, it was amazing!

Miami’s design district was home to many shops like Tom Ford, Givenchy, Hermes, Celine, Alexander Wang. I even copped myself a Cartier Love Ring in Rose Gold! On the flipside, an upcoming area – Wynwood is an artist/hipster’s dream with tons of graffiti walls and street art to explore.

Marc and I had an amazing time and I am dying to go back as soon as possible. I’d love to take my mom and family from England there, as I think it’s a great place to relax and get tan. Take a look at the photos and get the whole experience!
